Winter has come, and snow's in the land
But lo, see the flower that's here in my hand
It doesn't need water, it's one hardy strain
Come cold or the heat, it won't feel the pain
The flower was so creatively made
The four little leaves look like cute little spades
The petals are stiff and stand there so tall
Even tho there's wind, they never will fall
So what's the secret of this cute little gem
It's really quite simple right down to the stem
So put your thoughts together in one little group
And here is your hint, it all started with soup
It came as a gift from South Dakota you see
And then my dear wife gave it to me
Be careful she said with a cute little grin
Those sharp little pokey's go right thru the skin
