Corn day...

The boys and I got the fun job of Husking...

Cutting off corn, as always Grandpa loves to help.

McBain girls came to pick the beans...

I took Sara down to see Grandma...she told Sara she had a nice dress, it was the most I'd heard her say for awhile, she was very happy for the visit.

Then there was Grandpa visiting with Joe.

Pork loin...

This Morning Ellamae came out to the shop and cocked her head just right and asked if I'd smoke Pork Loin for supper this afternoon?

Sure I will! So we got the ole smoker out and got smoke going....lots of charcoal with a pan of apple chips for flavor and some apple juice to help keep it moist... The result was very tender meat...and delicious too!

Plus it woke up my sentimental side...it was a good many years since we used the smoker, I had to call Wally and tell him what I was up to...:-)

So to help us eat it we had Jon and Lisa over and Alvin's ...

Hey boys...are you guys finished milking? The milk man just got here...actually it was David, stopped in to see Grandma early this morning.

And then...it was Dawson, Playing on the shelving with the air hose...I never learned exactly what the plan was when I intercepted it, he just grinned at me!

I guess no shortage today, they even coaxed me up on the trampoline...

Daryl and Del were also flexing their mechanic muscles...replacing the power steering pump on Donny's jeep

Latest project...

It was high time to get the white plastic out of the weather...dirt...and grime, so I threw together a shelter to keep it high and dry...I think it will serve it's purpose well...

Moving day for Steve and Shana

Was a rewarding day, having two months of remodeling behind us to help Move Steve's into a new/old house...

Andrew and Merideth were the Iowa guests...from here it was Kurtis and Valerie....Jon W and Kyle and Kendra...and the Hostetlers.

Thanks to the wonderful cooks that God has blessed our house with...Tonight it was Waffle's and Ice Cream with Blueberry syrup...hhmmm

We spent an enjoyable day at the Madison Zoo, Rich's and us met there for a picnic lunch then set out to visit the animals....they were delighted to see us.
